Recently introduced to the talented artist Yorokee, I was immediately captivated by his smooth and soulful alternative sound, particularly showcased in his latest single, “Feels Lonely Again.” Emerging from Botswana, Yorokee is on the brink of making a significant impact with the unveiling of this debut single, which also serves as the lead track from his highly anticipated first EP titled “Entropy,” set to release in early 2024.

“Entropy” encompasses four alternative R&B tracks, marking Yorokee’s inaugural showcase in the music scene. The EP weaves a narrative that delves into profound themes such as unreciprocated love, self-worth, depression, faith, and infatuation, showcasing the artist’s depth and versatility.

The realization of this EP was made possible through the support of The Banana Club Artist Fund (BCAF), a commendable three-month-long residency initiative designed to uplift emerging creative talents from underserved communities, enabling them to bring their artistic endeavors to fruition.

Yorokee’s debut single, “Feels Lonely Again,” is a collaborative effort with SRNBLUE and features top-notch production by SRNBLUE and Flex The Ninja. The synergy between these artists promises a musical experience that transcends boundaries. To add a visual dimension to this musical journey, a captivating performance accompanying the track is set to debut on December 7th, adding an extra layer of anticipation for fans and enthusiasts alike.

“Feels Lonely Again” is released in collaboration with Banana Club and Yorokee under the license of THISIS A REMINDER, solidifying the project’s significance within the musical landscape. With Emmanuel Thabang Makuke, Kagiso Loeto, and Pearson Banda contributing to the top-tier production, Yorokee’s debut single stands as a testament to the richness and diversity found within the alternative music genre. As we await the EP’s release, Yorokee’s “Feels Lonely Again” serves as a powerful introduction to an artist poised for a remarkable musical journey.

One Take 267’s “Run the Payment” freestyle is the latest addition to his impressive catalogue. Over a hard-hitting, drill-inspired beat, One Take 267 once again flexes his prowess and street credibility with lines like, “Run the payment in cash, bring it to 20s, 50s, and 100s.” His delivery is raw and honest, never afraid to test himself, while reflecting his deep ties to the streets.

He navigates the beat with ease, dropping bars about moving with “heathens, shot callers, street bandits,” and emphasizing his commitment to authenticity. One Take 267 declares he’s no regular rapper, eschewing idle chatter for silent moves: “No chit chat ting no more, talk about moving in silence.”

This freestyle is a powerful display of One Take 267’s talent and his genuine connection to the street life, making it clear that he’s more than just a player in the game. He’s solidifying his position as a significant force in the hip-hop world.
