Stream Tii Maaney’s “The Goofy Romantic: The First Layer”

Published

on

“The Goofy Romantic is a moniker created by Tiisetso ‘’TiiMaaney’ Mathole. It was to exemplify the type of man he was when it came to women, love, sex, and other forms of intimacy. Growing up, TiiMaaney was an extremely shy child that struggled to communicate with the opposite gender. The fear of embarrassment was so strong that the ability to speak at all was stifled. To add to that, his reference on how to engage with women came from television, rap music, and the clowning he received from his fellow peers. The man developed this notion of loving love.

In TiiMaaney’s eyes, to gain absolute happiness in life was to be in a relationship. He wanted to share this experience with the public via a 3-part EP that will delve into the topics of let’s say being a simp. The initial release will be titled ‘’THE GOOFY ROMANTIC: FIRST LAYER’’. This is a surface-level characterization of TiiMaaney and love. Another project will drop that this will be a secondary part ‘’THE GOOFY ROMANTIC: SECOND LAYER. This will be more in-depth and will contain rap ballads to his love interest (s). The final part will be a psychoanalysis of heartbreak, contradictions, and fears/motives that TiiMaaney may pertain to love. How can your whole life purpose be about ‘’having a bae’’ Where did this come from? THE GOOFY ROMANTIC: THE THIRD LAYER” – Tii Maney

WNDRSZN’s Garri: A Soulful Ode to Everyday Survival

Published

on

With his new single “Garri,” Botswana’s own WNDRSZN delivers a moving blend of nostalgia, rhythm, and reflection. The track feels like a time capsule — echoing the golden sounds of Africa’s past while remaining grounded in the grit of modern life.

Garri paints the picture of long days, crowded taxi rides, and quiet moments of exhaustion — when silence speaks louder than words. WNDRSZN captures the ache and beauty of that struggle with haunting tenderness, reminding us of the resilience that lives in ordinary people.

Inspired by African classics like Ismaël Lô’s Tajabone and Oliver Mtukudzi’s Neria, Garri draws from deep emotional wells of hope and survival. It’s not just a song; it’s a feeling — a lament, a memory, and a prayer for better days.

With his signature fusion of AfroSoul and Kalahari Pop, WNDRSZN once again reimagines what African music can sound like — rooted in heritage but speaking to now.

Garri is more than music. It’s a mirror to our everyday hustle — and a gentle call to keep going.
