There’s an abundance of talent in the video, photography and content creation space in Botswana. In a recent article that i wrote on Marklives.com, i state that “Young Botswana is moving about and setting things in motion; there’s a shift in the creative space that is challenging the establishment and the people behind this shift are very much unapologetic about the way they’re going about their business”. One individual that has come to the core and truly espouses this is Owen Bands. The you film director, producer and multi-faceted artist is currently “working primarily in the medium of film, mostly focusing on music video production and short films”, one of the most notable being the piece of work he did on Ban T’s ‘Why So Faded’ Anthem.

Owen has continued to hone his craft and his latest piece of work is a by the Durban collective Palm Tree Paradise, we’re super stoked to see 267 talent go beyond the music & fashion spaces continentally. Check out his work here
