Play Mpho Sebina to a new ear and they’ll probably wonder what this texture they are listening to is, play her to a long time follower and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their knowledge of her catalog. Mpho first came to the spotlight years ago while working in advertising and doing covers to songs such as Lebo Mathosa even Brenda Fassie’s ‘Too late for Mama’ which she hummed over The Fugees’ ‘Ready or Not’

She’s now officially linked up with the record label that originally worked with Mpho Sebina and the song’s original producer, the famed Sello ‘Chico’ Twala gave a raving review of the work. According to Sowetan SA, “The new track marks the first taste of Gallo Record Company’s ambitious remix series that will see the music stable remake some classics from their rich archives using up-and-coming African artists with DJ Black Coffee as executive producer”
