“GO KA TWENG? GO KA THUSA… KA ENG? KA LETSHOGO JA GAGWE. LE MOKGORO NKA O SIKARA, KA TSWA MO DIPOITSHEGONG”, the song originally sung by Gaotwesepe Gopolang from Mmashoro is synonymous with Botswana, from years when this land knew no prosperity, and has now been reimagined masterfully by a voice that is fast becoming one of Botswana’s favorites.

The Danko hitmaker took time to lace word on a modern Afrobeat-sounding dance rhythm while embodying the old style vibrating vocal style that became the signature sound of Botswana’s first radio station. Ezra did this song justice in my opinion, anyone that knows Botswana’s music history will come to appreciate this as a piece that prolongs this song’s life and introduces the original to a new generation. We love it here, so watch as Ezra performs this with Re Mmogo visuals behind the lens.
