AbTheActivist’s ‘ESCAPISM’ is a project made from his making

AbTheActivist’s pen game’s never been in doubt, could’ve only been so if you were not listening to his early material. He’s shifted a few gears since and has cut his ‘hibachi’ in what is a rare balance, a skilled tradesman who is also astute when it comes to the game. His latest tape has a few jewels that I really enjoyed and could have been a classic, the one criticism I have is really around the project’s engineering quality. I’ve come to expect a higher level of quality, but I won’t dwell – its a project thats built for Hiphop lovers and I want to leave it at just that. The rapper/producer has come a long way and ‘Escapism’ is actually a decent listen
