Living social is the BW creative’s way and 2020 is the year they shine different

Creativity is the ultimate form of self-expression and the year 2020 unlike many before has beeeeeen proving ground for many that seek an outlet for their creative forms – be it singing, dancing, comedy…tota hela any form of self expression. Amidst all that faces Botswana and the world, digital platforms are fast becoming bigger winners in the race for being “first to be clicked” on the mobile screen and essentially in every user’s heart.

This is especially true in countries like Botswana, where over 60% of the population is young, has connectivity and a large majority of those individuals are largely mobile-first. They do business on mobile, talk on mobile, sleep while mobile and are sharing a multitude of their stories while also viewing them on mobile. The creator’s domain has been democratised and I cant help but think how poignant philosopher and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson‘s words “Every artist was first an amateur” are today, I bet he would all round and I bet would never have imagined that those would be as true as ever a whole 200 years later.

This liberalization of voice has led to moments like William Last KRM’s Chris Brown repost, all he was doing was just another show of brilliance which happened to catch the global superstar’s eye and subsequently had Southern Africa in a frenzy within hours, proving to be a fine example of what it means to #LiveConnected in the digital age.

It’s cool moments like that one and mobile offers that make sense, like BTC Mobile‘s #LiveSocial and #TurnUp bundles that are inspiring and making it ever so possible for Motswana ko lapeng to continue to drop their dopeness and have their say with the added advantage of really affordable pricing. All this is accelerating this multi-verse of BW creativity, go monate go bona le rona re bolaisa lefatshe content “tlhe ngwadaka…aooo” 📱! Any service that is one with the people’s needs will always get a big thumbs up from us, akere le itse gore all we try and do is #ConnectTheCulture ✊🏽.

A major element in Botswana Tik Tok’s universe is the music, something that we like BW fans love having conversations about. TikTok’ers on the other not so removed had love interacting with it, dancing to it, throwing Tik Tok challenges to it showing of mad skills to it. These forms happen to form a large majority of the BW Tik Tok contingent’s arsenal, a super awesome dovetail that is also helping BW’s top musos to gain cool points as their work pops up in user-generated content.

BTC’s recently enhanced #LiveSocial bundles allow anyone with an ever-growing need to self-express to go at it, le gone jaana tota. #TikTokBotswana‘s contingent is the space where you can check out how creative and wild we all are and we can’t wait to see what else Botswana with as we await more of that fire content. The challenge to them is for them to use any BW song as the backdrop to their art and help to let the world know that we’ve got too many banging tunes and they could TikTok to them, any day!
