LINXSTAR – THE COVENANT[Clean]
2018 saw Linxstar release his most personal project to date titled SAM, an acronym for Songs About Me. He has since then dropped a single “Sies” along side label mates Fisa & 84 as well as guest star 267Shay. Sies was released in March of 2019.
With a public campaign through which Linxstar acknowledges one of his major faults, “consistency”, he has since pledged to no longer starve his fans and take prolonged periods in between his musical releases. “The Covenant”, which means “an agreement or promise” is his way of being a man of his word and using this first single as a way for followers to hold him to account.
The Covenant is a hard-hitting prelude to an EP set to drop later this year. The
song was produced by General Beats & mixed by Flex The Ninja.
Linxstar, self-proclaimed “Golden Boy” of hip-hop is arguably pound for pound the hottest rap artist in Botswana. With his fresh, vibrant and urban sound, along with his snazzy & charismatic videos, Linxstar has become one of the leading players not only in the hip-hop scene but also in Botswana’s music industry as a whole.
Unsigned by 2018, Linxstar co-founded his own Independent label IBDuB Inc, the music division of brand group Out The House Collective (OHC).
The Covenant, is a hard-hitting boastful track which speaks about Linxstar’s pursuit of success. Success symbolized by money, acclaim, women and other hip hop riches.
This single is a pledge to followers of his music for him to be a more consistent force in the game. Something he plans to backup with his promised November EP, “For The Heaven of It” as well as now 2020 freshmen album, “ROS (Reflection of Self)”.
